Spring Parent Workshop (Video/phone) Wednesday, April 29 – 4:30-6:30pm

Join Sunshine Lee in an  interactive and fun video call on google hangouts meets.    Gather with other other parents to learn about resources and methods that will help you teach your child how to write nonfiction narratives.  You can help your child learn how to use nonfiction reading sources or do their own research to gather true facts and then creatively include those facts into a made up story.  Learn about the elements of a story and what makes an entertaining story. Learn about the writing process and how to coach and motivate your child to write. Practice this process in collaboration with other parents. Discuss the benefits of journaling during this unique time. Discuss round robin style what your child and your family are experiencing as you homeschool and live while sheltering in place during this pandemic we are all going through.

Email sunshine to sign up asap  or with questions at sunshine.lee@aldergrovecharter.org  Please use the email heading APRIL 29 Parent Workshop and include a phone number where you can be reached.  Please let me know if you text.
